Website privacy notice
This notice explains how Barking Flea, LLC ("Barking Flea," "we"), the New Hampshire company that makes mylo hub, handles information when you visit barkingflea.com. It covers this website only. If you use mylo hub, its own policies apply: the mylo hub privacy policy and the mylo hub terms of service.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you use a contact or support form, we receive what you enter: your name, email and message, plus any optional details you add (business name, town, title or role, organization, phone). With your message we also record the page you sent it from, basic technical details (your IP address and browser type), and how you found us (see "Campaign links" below).
- Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: pages visited, clicks on buttons and links, general location derived from IP, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don't send your name, email or messages to Google Analytics.
- Campaign links. If you arrive from one of our links or QR codes (for example, on a flyer or business card), your browser remembers the campaign tag for your visit so a form can tell us where you came from. This is stored only for the browser tab and clears when you close it. Campaign codes identify a campaign or partner, not a person.
- Videos. Some pages show videos embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. We don't ask for any personal information to watch them. When you play a video, YouTube may collect information under Google's privacy policy.
- Emails and job applications. If you email us or apply for a job, we receive what you send, including your resume. We use applications only to consider you for a role and keep them for up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
How we use it
To reply to you, provide support, follow up on interest in mylo hub for your business or town, understand which pages and campaigns are working, and keep the site running and secure.
Who handles it for us
We use service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Google (Firebase hosting, cloud database and functions, and Google Analytics) and YouTube (embedded videos).
- Team messaging tools that notify us when a new message arrives. These notifications may include what you entered in the form, such as your name, email and message.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep it
- Contact and support messages: kept for 180 days, then deleted. Any copies in our internal notification tools are deleted within one year. If we write back and forth with you by email, we keep that correspondence as long as it's needed for our business relationship.
- Google Analytics data: kept for up to 14 months.
We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
Your choices
- See or delete your information: email support@barkingflea.com. We'll respond within 45 days and may need to confirm it's you.
- Analytics: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load Google Analytics. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. We don't respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
Children
This site is for adults and businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child sent us information, email support@barkingflea.com and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or internet transmission is completely secure.
Changes
If we update this notice, we'll change the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll say so on this page.
