Marketing & Outreach Assistant
About the Role
This is a ground-floor opportunity at a real product launch in your own community. You'll work directly with the founder across marketing, outreach, and content production — building a genuine portfolio of work that has real impact on the business. Strong performers will earn a personal LinkedIn recommendation from the founder, a meaningful credential when you're starting your career.
What You'll Help With
- Produce and edit videos, screen recordings, and marketing presentations
- Source and coordinate branded promotional materials as directed
- Conduct initial outreach calls to towns, chambers of commerce, and local businesses to introduce mylo
- Schedule meetings and presentations and keep CRM records up to date
- Assist with social media and content creation
- Represent mylo at local events and community gatherings
- Support day-to-day startup operations as needed
Core Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tech savvy and able to learn new software quickly
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Comfortable making initial outreach calls and interacting with town officials, chamber staff, and business owners
- Professional and reliable
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule (up to 20 hours per week)
Preferred Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience creating content for social media
- Basic video editing and graphic design skills (Canva, CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Express, or similar)
