Questions, answered
Is mylo free?
Yes. mylo is free to download and use. Local businesses pay a flat monthly fee to post, which is how we keep it free — and ad-free — for everyone else.
Do I need an account?
Not to look around, and you can follow a few local businesses without signing up. You'll need an account to claim an offer.
Where does mylo work?
Wherever you are. mylo shows what's near you right now, and when you're in a town that's on mylo, you automatically get that town's updates, notices, and calendar — no need to pick a "home town."
How do notifications work?
There are two kinds. Town notices: when your town is on mylo, turn on its time-sensitive notices (like road closures and snow days), its routine notices, or both. Posts from places you follow: follow the businesses — and your town — you care about, then turn on notifications for new posts. One switch covers everyone you follow. mylo isn't an emergency alert system; for emergencies, follow your town's official alerts.
